Summary

There where 91 participants, from whom 82 actually fought. The sides where evenly matched (41 vs. 41) until the last scenario, when one group from the Dark side had to leave.

The victory goes to the side of the Light this year. (Or like Senitus "The Drunken Healer" said: "Light does not win, Light triumphs!"

The score
Light - 501 points
Dark - 227 points

Since there where not so many groups and their scores where the same as the general scores, we did not make a group ranking this year.

---

Me and the other organizers are quite happy with the whole event. Even beside the bad weather and many last minute cancellations.

Also we are very happy that so many Finnish fighters came. We had a grat time with you and we hope you did the same.

Also your large participation at Nordic Equinox 2007 sparked a general interest in Sotahuuto 2008, so I am fairly sure, we can return the favor.

I myself am thrilled that we managed to build such a bridge between our fighting cultures in so little time. The future is promising gentlemen.

We had many photographers and a professional cameraman who used several cameras and angels and is going to edit the material into a short film. I will inform you when the material is ready.

---

Once again, thank you and see you next year - same place, same time.

Thank you very much for providing us the possibility to participate in this great event! It was really refreshing and educating to fight with different rules and in a very different setting compared to Finland. The ideas you had with the scenarios were innovative and inspiring. Despite the fact that the scenarios were not related to each other, the flow of the scenarios were ascending. The food was excellent and there was more than enough of it. I've never had that good porridge! :D

Everyone was very hospitable and I would really like to thank everyone who lent us their weapons. Unfortunately we probably broke quite many of them because we weren't used to hitting with so light weapons and used way too much force to hit with them. I would also like to apologize for hitting everyone in the head almost all the time. It was just too hard for me to control my reflexes when someone leaves their head unprotected. :( But if you come to the Sotahuuto 2008 you can take good revenge on me, and even according to the rules! :)

It's a shame that we couldn't take everything out of the weekend due to the long distance and logistical problems but I enjoyed every moment I spent on the scene, whether it was raining or not. :)

I hope we see in Sotahuuto 2008 (and maybe Nordic Equinox 2008?).

I am very glad we came! This was a great experience!
The weather was perhaps the only bad thing, and even that wasn't too bad (for me atleast).
We had great fun, despite we expected more partissipants.

And for the troll-ball mach, :D we liked it wery much. I belive we will be playing troll-ball next year in Sotahuuto.

I share this feeling. This was not my last visit to Kassinurme.

We also had a cameraman, and in time we'll make our own short video. Meanwhile you have to be content with these pictures I took during the trip.

Torppari might later add link to pictures he took.

Weather was bad, but its fun to meet new people and new rules. I will come in next year to eesti again.

I am too sorry about hitting the head cause i am use to hit to head and when you have big towershield only thing you can see is the head.

All estonians where friendly and fight very well.
The shield bashing was so great and i will hope that we will see in sotahuuto or in next year at Nordic Equinox :)

It was nice seeing you guys again and altho this time I didnt participate in the general rampage being the cameraman, I'd say the whole area of Kassinurme is very inspiring for different kinds of settings. I myself enjoyed most filming the sand pit scenarios (Sparta style gets a few extra points) and ofcourse Storming the castle and defending it. :D

The food was really good and the weather turned out to be nice in the afternoon. Troll ball rocks so much, I'm looking forward to see it in Finland!!

Our video (long version). It's a torrent, so you need a P2P program (like BitTorrent) to download it.

Please share.

(I apologize for the slow upload rate - it should get better once people in Finland start sharing.)
