Sotahuuto 2013 organizers have specified the date for the event and the location.

This year Sotahuuto will take place between 2nd and 4th of August, in central Finland, about 160km from Helsinki.

The rules are out in Finnish so thank you - even though there is no official English translation yet, we can start translating and learning.

My question now is about registration and participation fees. I would need to know two things urgently:

1. What information per player is needed for registration
2. How much is the participation fee

The thing with Vishna-Ghrim is that ALL of our registration will have to be done BEFORE 19th of JULY!!! We will be going to a LARP in Germany for two weeks right before Sotahuuto and will pretty much drive directly from Germany to the ferry to Finland so anything I do will have to be done before the 19th. That includes sending all registration details to you and paying the participation fee.

Since we will be "moderately" (not to say "fucked up") busy with preparations for BOTH games in the row, the sooner I can get started with registrations the better.

Official English translation to rules are in progress, we have one man doing that.
We have also other man translating main information about event and I hope he is ready soon. My own english isn't pretty good so I don't do those translating works.

Participation fee is this year 20 euros without food or 40 euros with food. Food includes Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Food provider will also sell food in friday and saturday evenings, so take some cash with you if you want buy also evening snack. There will be also some vendors selling armours and medieval products in evenings.
We will open registeration in this week.

You will need these information per player:
-Name
-Age (you have to be at least 15-years old to take part)
-gender
-Food or not (and also, if vegetarian)
-Do you want Photo? *


Also we need Name of the group, e-mail and phonenumber from group's leader.


* There will be professional photographer in Sotahuuto. She will take picture 10e per player or 10e per friend-picture (less than 5 player in picture). She will also take group photos (you can ask price, it depens how much you have people in your group). Pictures will be come in to internet gallery, where you can download them. Under 18-years old need written permission from their parents for photos.

19:30 ferry and 22:30 ferry


At what time, do you think, will the scenarios be over on Sunday and the winner declared? So that we can plan our departure accordingly.

Last scenario will end between 14:30-15:00 and winner will be hopefully declared soon after that (15:00-15:15).
