You did exceptionally good job and your determined and quick flanking maneuvers saved our whole army more than once in the forests.

It was also great time fighting against you!

I'd say you have good tactics within your own group, but didn't really work with the rest of your army. Of course, I could be wrong, but this is my opinion at least.

Also, the way you walked to the battlefield, I love it!

As one of Lancaster's field commanders this was never an issue to me. Whenever I shared suggestion/orders with your officers, you always took the job immediately and did it exceptionally well.

It was nice seeing you this year, and I noted that you came on the battlefield with a totally diffrent attitude than last year.

Since last year I had to say repeatedly, unfortunately, that there were several of you that failed to count their hits sportsmanlike, this year was totally diffrent! I heared nor saw anything like that this year, not a single small complaint, and the image from Vishna in Sotahuuto got a lot polished in my eyes. So much that I really wished that your fighter would win the tournament at saturday-evening!

In both escort scenarios, your timing was excellent when you used your army to strike from the side while sparta held the forces from advancing on the track. You ended up saving us on many occasions. We're all very grateful on your co-operation with us and also for giving us your respect which is something you'd rarely do. I hope we fight on the same side next year aswell!

Very well fought and it's always a pleasure fighting with you. We were really missing you in our last field scenario. If Vishna had been with us, Lancaster would have been beaten

I expected much from your group this year, but you somewhat let me down. Your flanking manouvers were harsh, but they were somewhat easy to counter. But you have developed much as a group. Last year's lack of sportmanship was completely replaced by your new attitude, and it showed. Very good improvement! You did good this year, lads.

First off, I'd like to thank you all for great sportsmanship. I didn't hear a single complaint of you guys, which is exceptional on such a well armored group. That taken, it almost made me sad to kill you guys with a halberd, as you were such an easy prey. I know you really don't have much polearms over there, and it really shows. But then again, I think you had found your place as a heavy-and-hard-hitting skirmish group this year. It suits you a lot better than simple linefighting.

Don't mind about killing me thrice despite being all the time on your side. Our crest and colours didnt really make it to the official papers before it was too late.

Besides, you paid those deaths back tenfold when protecting our boss Nipsu when he was carrying the enemy's main flag.

Thank you for everything! Fighting with you was the best time we had in the entire event. I personally looked up to you guys before, but it was not until now when i understand that you are infact on a completely different level than any other group here in finland. It was an honour fighting with you and we thank you sincerely for everything you tought us.

It saddens me that we didnt get the chance for the Sparta + Vishna last stand in the last forest scenario, but i trust there will be next time.

And last a huge thanks for carrying our injured fighter to the first aid spot. You guys are the best!

About a week before Sotahuuto I was astounded to hear you not coming. I'm glad it was just a hearing and you really attended the event! As always, your presence was powerful and I was delighted to see that you remembered the Finnish damage system better than before. Actually I never thought the problem would have been because of the lack of sportsmanship. You fought exceptionally well even though you probably had a hard time against polearms. Maybe a quick and orderly charge could've saved the day? Saturday you performed such an action against a heavy line and even though it wasn't just enough to get you through, it was such a magnificent sight to see. Oh and I really fell in love with your march command, the word I mean. Really gave me shivers to walk past and hear that LIM(?) just to see almost 30 black armored soldiers marching to battle.

Your fighting was fair even though the impact maybe wasn't enough to break a larger group like Maahinkainen. Pity the final duel between the duel contestants couldn't have been held after all. Vishna's representative had such an accurate arm with the shield. If just you had been with us to fight the last battle, we could've prevailed as the black-red coalition (Rämä, Vishna, Perkele). Thanks for coming and fighting with us. Let's kill again next year, huh

At least in my perspective you took your hits very well and were a tough nut to crack. And not to mention an irreplaceable ally.

I'd also like to thank the Vishna gentleman who stopped to ask if I was alright during Sunday's first scenario, after I had fallen down from a Vishna blow. Thank you for caring!

Vishna + Sparta really was the backbone of our mercenary army. And Im sure that if Vishna had had time to participate the last scenario, our side would have won the scenario. Thank you and see you in Nordic Equinox!

Copy this. We didn`t even "disglorified" you after this smal accident. Bernards apologies and the protection of Vishna soldiers was more than enought to buy us back.

I have to say that even if you had a smaller group than last year and you didnt use your shieldbashing maneuvers all that much, I still regard you as a worthy opponent.

Your group should take up spears or other polearms! It would do you very good, even if it means that all of you wouldnt have that black sword and shield combination.

You have definately improved since the last year regarding the hit taking, and I don't recall a single situation where one of your group would have left a hit taken.

I'd also like to thank your very efficient repairs to your gear after the surprice that u had in the inspection we were making. I hipe you didnt mind too much..

I also want to say sorry for the young girl who I bludgeoned with the buttspike of my glaive in the last forest scenario. I said it then, and I say it now: I didn't know if you were alive or dead untill you raised your shield up. That's why I continued to thrust underneath the edge of your shield.

I would also like to thank you for the way your group acted at the crash scene on sunday, when helping the man who crashed.
Not just good thinking in the field of battle, but in normal life as well, and the screen you formed around the scene, was a very good move. Even though i don't know any more about the crash than anyone else, i think you need to be proud about your actions then.

I have never personaly understand complain of your "lack" of sportmanship and it didn't change at this year. (In the couple first scenarios at SH07 you were still be accustoing to rules so it dosen't count. )

I respect your way in SH that you are still a shield/sword group and you have not took polearms like others. We (perkele) tried to be whitout spears at SH07 but it failed so badly that we have to use spears.
Anyway it could be devastating if you would have some spears in your group.

If there's something to say about Vishna's "lack of sportsmanship", I would say that the way Rämä people who have fought against you talk always has an undertone of reverence, which makes sense as people in Rämä themselves like hitting hard and getting hit hard and generally dislike "laserswording". But in any case, this was the first year I was in SoHu and I actually don't recall ever being head to toe with any of you, although several times alongside.

And on that note, whenever I was on the same side, it was good dealing with you. Bernard always had something meaningful to say to most situations. What I sometimes did worry about was that maybe you weren't included so well in army briefings or on the battle field as well. It wasn't really my business, but whenever I did see a situation where I felt you might have use for any info I had I made sure to to say it.

There were situations where I did see you have some trouble, for example on the saturday RISK where you were on the Lancaster side you charged Tura from the ridge, and you seemed to go at it in a long, sort of 2-3 man wide queue - and ended up getting beat and then walking back with sword handles up.

Otherwise however you were a really impressive group: It was motivating to hear you guys get up early in the morning for a jog and excercise, then see you all in identical, battleworn gear.

p.s. Your girls were damn hot.

First of all, thanks for the feedback. Everything you say is really interesting to read.

Secondly, I would want to thank those, who were friendly, talkative and cared to translate Finnish at the event. Even though we look like a mean and ass-kicking group most of the time, we are basically telling the same jokes and thinking the same way as you are.

What is more, one or two things about the event itself. Having been at Sotahuuto last year and having heard about Sotahuuto '07, I think there was something missing this year. Problably it was a lack of interesting scenarious or something special(like the "castle" last year). However, the food was much better this year. But what a pity that the tournament was not completed. I had just warmed up

Furthermore, a word about our tactics and group-fighting style. One of our group leaders had a bad day. And as disciplined as we are, we follow our officers even when they have a bad day. This time it seemed like it is our weakness, but in the big picture, I think it makes us stronger. Another thing was the rush-and-bash style, which most of the time lead us to certain death, but I remind you, that there is a good reason for doing it and that is making a crack in to the enemy's wall.
And lastly, Spartans were a wonderful surprise to us.
Anyway, we had a good time. I hope to see you all in NE.

The tutoring session on Saturday night was something I really didn't expect anybody would do for us (Sparta here ) and I was very positively surprised! A huge thank you for that!

In battles I felt like you were always ready to do what's best for the team (at least in the mind of the commander ) even though it might not have been as glorious for you as it could've been. All in all I think you set an example for all of us who strive to get better (except with your shields since they were only second best ). Looking forward to seeing you guys in future events!

I have always liked your spirit and attitude towards boffering and again at the first Risk scenario I got a great view about that when you were almost the only team from our side to try 100% during the whole scenario. Also your personal skills are quite high + I like your active charging into fight even though the odds are against you.

I hope to see you next year again, keep up the good work!
