If you are lazy or didn't understand then read the following:
What is not allowed at Nordic Equinox (compared to Sotahuuto)?
- No strikes to the head and/or neck.
- No strikes to the groin.
- No grabbing of weapons (not even polearm shafts).
- Hitting from behind doesn't kill automatically (it lowers HP's and AP's as normal).
- There are 2 hit points. Also there are no "injured limbs" - you are in no way incapacitated when losing one of your hit points (you are dead if you lose both).
- There are more armor points (up to 5). Also the armor points are not location-specific.
- Weapon standards differ a LOT.
- We use STOPP instead of HOLD. And you are considered dead after you stop the game (but if the trouble was real, it's better to be "dead" than to be _Dead_).
- Ranged weapons can be reused in battle.
- Whether or not a hit is valid, is decided by the one who was hit.
By all means. You will be pleasantly surprised on how many armor points you get for it (except the gambeson which unfortunately doesn't count as armor).
Can I use my Sotahuuto shield?
Yes.
Can I use my Sotahuuto ranged weapons?
Yes.
Can I use my Sotahuuto sword/short weapon?
Maybe - if it conforms with the weight restriction (check the rules and measure/weigh your weapon).
Can I use my Sotahuuto polearm?
No. It is too heavy.
